While I may not be a fan of the promposal, I can’t help but turn into a gooey mess every time I read about this one special exception.
Last month, Nevada teen Jacob Lescenski wanted to make sure his best friend Anthony Martinez felt just as special as everyone else did during the prom season with this epic promposal.
“You’re hella gay, I’m hella str8, but you’re like my brother, so be my d8?” read Lescenski’s massive sign.

Considering just how epic the gesture was, Martinez obviously said yes. He also couldn’t help but share his promposal experience on Twitter, where it has since gone viral.
Wanting to make sure Lescenski and Martinez had a night to remember, Teen Vogue sent their cameras to Nevada to document their experience and to learn more about the two awesome teens.
“I said, ‘Well, I’m stubborn,’ and I wanted to go with a guy and I wanted to show that it’s okay to go with a guy. Which is why I waited for a guy. He didn’t have to be gay and he didn’t have to date me, and I didn’t exactly say I wanted a straight guy to ask me, I just wanted a guy,” Martinez told Teen Vogue. “And [Lescenski] did that.”
Best prom date ever? We think so.
